CERTIFICATE IN CREO

Duration: 3 MONTHS

Course Syllabus

Course Title: CREO (Skill Development Course)

Course Duration: 3 Months (Part-Time)

Course Overview: This 3-month part-time CREO Parametric Skill Development Course is designed to empower Indian students with essential skills in 3D modeling and CAD (Computer-Aided Design). CREO Parametric is a powerful tool used extensively in engineering and design industries. This course will equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using CREO Parametric. It will also emphasize the importance of CREO in career growth and self-employment opportunities.

Course Objectives:

  1. Introduce students to CREO Parametric and its feature-based, parametric nature.
  2. Develop proficiency in sketching, constraints, and dimensioning.
  3. Enable students to create base features and understand parent-child relationships.
  4. Familiarize students with datum planes and their significance.
  5. Teach students to create various features, including holes, rounds, and chamfers.
  6. Explore advanced modeling tools like sweeps, blends, and shells.
  7. Introduce assembly modeling, including top-down and bottom-up approaches.
  8. Provide hands-on experience in creating, editing, and modifying drawing views.
  9. Instruct students in dimensioning and detailing drawing views.
  10. Introduce surface modeling and freestyle modeling environments.
  11. Equip students with sheet metal design skills for creating sheet metal components.

Course Teaching Methodology:

  • Lectures and Demonstrations: In-class lectures and demonstrations will cover key concepts and tools in CREO Parametric.
  • Hands-on Practice: Students will have access to computers with CREO Parametric installed to practice what they learn during lectures.
  • Assignments and Projects: Students will work on assignments and projects to apply their knowledge and build a portfolio of work.
  • Guest Lectures: Industry experts may be invited for guest lectures to provide real-world insights.
  • Group Discussions: Students will engage in group discussions to foster collaborative learning.
  • Assessments: Regular assessments and quizzes will be conducted to evaluate student progress.

Importance for Learners in Career Growth and Self-Employment:

  • Career Growth: Proficiency in CREO Parametric is highly valued in industries like automotive, aerospace, and product design. This course will enhance students' employability and career prospects.
  • Self-Employment: Equipping students with CAD skills can enable them to work as freelancers or start their own design consultancy, opening up opportunities for self-employment.
