Course Title: Cyber Law (Skill Development Course)

Course Duration: 6 Months (Part-Time)

Course Objectives:

  1. To provide a comprehensive understanding of the basics and fundamentals of Cyber Laws.
  2. To explore the evolution of the IT Act and its salient features.
  3. To familiarize students with various authorities under the IT Act, their powers, penalties, and offences, along with relevant amendments.
  4. To impart knowledge about legislative, judicial, and international frameworks of Cyber Law.
  5. To delve into concepts related to computers, the internet, networking, and their legal aspects.
  6. To analyze E-commerce and associated legal issues, including provisions under Indian laws.
  7. To examine the validity of E-contracts in India and explore E-Governance concepts.
  8. To understand Digital/Electronic signature laws, Cyber Tribunal, and Appellate Tribunal.
  9. To explore Intellectual Property Rights in Cyberspace, including Copyright, Patent Rights, Trade Marks, and Domain Names Laws.
  10. To provide insights into Cyber Crime Laws in India, investigation processes, and current issues.
  11. To offer an international perspective on Cyber Law, including EDI, UNCITRAL Model Law, Electronic Signature Laws of Major Countries, Cryptography Laws, and Cyber Laws of Major Countries.
  12. To introduce students to the EU Convention on Cyber Crime.

Course Overview: This 6-month part-time course is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of Cyber Law, starting from the fundamentals and gradually progressing to advanced topics. The course will cover various aspects of Cyber Law, including legislative, judicial, and international frameworks, intellectual property rights, cybercrime, and global perspectives. Students will also gain practical insights into the application of Cyber Law in real-world scenarios, making them well-equipped for self-employment and career growth in the field.
