Course Overview: This course is designed to provide learners with essential computer skills and knowledge of the internet and its applications. The course will cover topics such as basic computer concepts, computer organization, operating systems, productivity software, multimedia, graphic design, basic networking concepts, and internet usage.

Course Objectives:

  1. To provide learners with a fundamental understanding of computer organization and basic computer concepts.
  2. To introduce learners to Windows operating systems and productivity software.
  3. To provide learners with skills in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for document creation, data management, and presentation development.
  4. To introduce learners to the internet and its applications, including email, social media, and online research.
  5. To provide learners with an understanding of multimedia and graphic design applications such as Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe InDesign.
  6. To provide learners with basic networking concepts and skills.
  7. To provide learners with knowledge and skills in PC assembly and maintenance.

Course Teaching Methodology: The course will use a combination of lectures, practical exercises, group discussions, and case studies. Practical exercises will be used extensively to provide learners with hands-on experience using productivity software, multimedia, and graphic design applications. Learners will be provided with assignments to complete outside the classroom to reinforce their learning.
